Artist and Printmaker
About Me:
I was born and raised in Porto Alegre, where I resided until 2022. An architect by profession, I transitioned my focus to printmaking in 2010. My journey into printmaking began at the Lithography workshop at Atelier Livre Xico Stockinger in Porto Alegre, under the guidance of artist Miriam Tolpolar. Over time, I honed my craft through various free courses and workshops alongside my lithography practice. My mentors during this period included renowned artists such as Claudia Sperb, Wilson Cavalcante, Ana Flavia Baldisserotto, among others.
I actively participated in group exhibitions both in Brazil and abroad.
Since relocating to Israel in 2023, I've embarked on a lifelong challenge, starting with the basics—my pens and drawings on the kitchen table—until finding my artistic pathways here.
About My Work:
Movement, Chaos, Narratives, and Meanings My artwork revolves around urban landscapes, photocopies, drawings, and personal objects, exploring themes of movement, chaos, and narrative. Drawing inspiration from my immediate surroundings, I reinterpret, intervene, or transform these elements into new compositions. My process typically begins with sketches and watercolors, evolving around a central theme or object, which then expands in scale and complexity during execution. I strive for a fusion of printmaking and painting techniques, often directly transferring my matrices onto canvas to enrich the visual tapestry. I believe the names that emerge upon viewing my works serve as additional layers of meaning, inviting diverse interpretations.
Exhibitions, Collections, and Distinctions:
I've showcased my work in numerous group exhibitions across Brazil and internationally, including notable venues such as the Luciano Benetton Foundation's Imago Mundi Project in Treviso, Italy, and the Centro Cultural Francisco Paco Urondo at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Additionally, my prints are part of esteemed collections such as the Pinacoteca Municipal e Arquivo Histórico Municipal in Araraquara, Brazil, and the Municipal Salvaterra Magos in Portugal.
